Who we are
Fjord en Kayak is a sea kayaking excursion family business on the Saguenay fjord since 1996. It is based in the wonderful village of L’Anse-Saint-Jean, in the province of Quebec in Canada.
Our mission
At Fjord en Kayak, our mission is to make you travel by sea kayak on an untamed and magnificent body of water, the Saguenay Fjord!
We distinguish ourselves by our concern for safety, the quality of our equipment, the superior training of our guides, our gourmet meals, our packages for families and our selection of guided expeditions
Our awards and distinctions
- 2002-2010: Two-time winner of the Gold Medal award of the " Grands Prix du Tourisme Québécois" (the highest award of the Department of Tourism of Quebec).
- Since 2013: Member of «Distinctive experiences» of the Canadian Tourism Commision.
- 2012: Winner of the provincial contest of «Aventure Écotourisme Québec» (AEQ), The Association of the suppliers of Quebec adventure tourism.
- 2015: Certified best ecotourism practices by AEQ.
- Recipient of the Dubuc 2020 Award, in the category of Défi territorial, given to a business that operates on the territory of one of the 13 municipalities of the Fjord-du-Saguenay RCM.
