Our Team

The owners, the guides and the reception

We would like to introduce you to the members of the Fjord en Kayak team, a team dedicated to providing you with a sea kayaking experience on the majestic Saguenay Fjord.

The guides

  • All certified in first aid and CPR and hold a certificate from Canoe Kayak Quebec
  • Are taking or have completed a course in adventure tourism at the Collège de Gaspé, Saint-Laurent, Mérici, Saint-Félicien or the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi
  • Receive an annual training of 3 days given by the owners of Fjord en Kayak
  • New guides receive up to 40 hours of additional Fjord Kayak training
  • The long expedition guides have all sailed a minimum of 350 hours on the fjord and more than 700 hours for those who guide to Tadoussac on the St. Lawrence River.
  • The maximum ratio per guide is 8 persons
