Itinerary

Day 0

Meet up in the late afternoon at 6:00 pm for a brief preparatory session. On the agenda: answering your questions, meeting the group, preparing bags and sleds, sharing group equipment, distributing ski gear, and more! The goal: to be fully ready for this unique experience on the ice floe.

Day 1

The day begins at 8:00 am with a warm drink, a perfect time to finalize sled packing and get ready for departure. Boarding on the ice will take place a bit later, and the adventure will start with a tour of L’Anse-Saint-Jean, where you’ll pass through this temporary fishing village on the ice. The guide will share tips for mastering skiing with a sled—an essential skill for the rest of the expedition.

Just before lunch, we’ll set up camp and prepare a cozy place for the night. A hot meal will be much appreciated as we take in the beauty of the surroundings.

In the afternoon, we’ll head out to explore the area, marveling at the snow-covered cliffs of the Saguenay Fjord during a light skiing trip. Back at camp in the late afternoon, we’ll prepare dinner in the tent, sheltered from the elements.

Finally, it will be time to rest for the night in this peaceful haven, perhaps under a starlit sky.

Day 2

Last Look at the Fjord

The day begins gently between 7:30 and 8:00 am, with a hearty breakfast and a warm drink to start the day in this stunning northern landscape. Together, the team will break down the camp and carefully pack all equipment into the sleds.

This final day on the ice will feature a last, awe-inspired lunch surrounded by breathtaking northern scenery—a perfect moment to soak up the tranquility of the place one last time. Perhaps you’ll catch a glimpse of majestic sea giants quietly navigating through the ice! The return to civilization will be a peaceful journey as the group makes its way back to the starting point, arriving by late afternoon.
